about

Psychedelic vibes with a Madchester twist. The Wordsmiths were Scotland's answer to the Madchester scene of the late 1980's and early 1990's. The Wordsmiths are often thought of as the greatest band ever to come out of Penicuik (6 miles south of Edinburgh). A bold claim indeed. The title of the track 'Katch' was an Edinburgh Indie Club that was situated in Victoria Street, Edinburgh. It existed in the early 1990's at Trader Vic's nightclub. It operated on a Saturday night and the band had much fun and games in those days. All but gone now, just good memories remain. This recently discovered recording has been loving remastered for your audio pleasure. Enjoy
